Charlie Sheen made the first move by asking Denise out for dinner. But at the last minute, Sheen changed his tactic and invited Denise over to watch the World Series. Richards recalls the moment before she made the first move on him – “It was spectacular. Definitely butterflies.”

The two got engaged and since Sheen was sober then, things seemed to be looking positive for them. Charlie and Denise decided to tie the knot in 2002 at a gorgeous estate belonging to the creator of “Spin City”, Gary David Goldberg. By this time Charlie had been sober for four years and their Roman Catholic ceremony seemed to be the pinnacle of both of their lives.
