Lauren Bacall is known for her sultry looks and distinctive voice, anyone can attest to that. The American Film Institute even named her the 20th greatest female star of classic Hollywood. Now that’s quite the achievement. She may have started off her career as a model but she molded her film and Broadway career into stardom. Sadly just before her 90th birthday, Lauren passed away from a stroke.

She would go on to pose nude for ‘Playboy’ magazine seven times and when asked why, she said, “Because I’m beautiful.” Yeah you are!
