15 Awesome Superpowers You Absolutely Wish You Had

There’s no denying it, everyone at some point in their lives has wished for superpowers. Whether it was flying, being invisible, being super strong, speed reading and the list could go on for ages. That’s why it doesn’t come as surprise that superhero movies and TV shows do so well with the general public, like Superman, The Avengers, The Flash and again, the list could carry on for an insanely long time. Check out these 15 superpowers we collected that you absolutely wish you could have (okay fine, we want some of these powers too).

Flying

Yeah this superpower doesn’t really need an introduction. You could have a bird’s eye view on everything, including traffic. Then again, you probably wouldn’t need a car to travel if you could fly. That is after all how Superman and Supergirl get around!

Telepathy

This one is kind of a biggy, I think. You could speak directly to someone’s mind without making a noise. That basically means if you wanted to talk about someone behind their back, you technically could. Or you could have secret convo’s with your best friend, now that would be hilarious. You could even read someone’s mind. You could know what your parents are thinking or your significant other or even the President. Freaky.

Talking to Animals

Yes! This one, right here. You could be the next Doctor Dolittle! This would be so incredible, you could actually have real conversations with your pet. I would love to be able to talk with my dog, I think he’d have lots of funny things to say. But even better, I don’t have to guess if he’s hungry or needs to go out or is gassy or whatever else. I could just talk to him! Plus you could communicate with any animal out there, bears, lions, dolphins, the list is endless folks.

Atmokinesis

Okay ‘Storm’ wannabes, with this superpower, you could control the weather. Little bit of rain or snow or sunshine, whatever your cup of tea, consider it done. Plus, you could stop a tsunami or hurricane from forming and save cities and countless lives. Not too shabby.

Superhuman Speed

You could be as fast The Flash and save people! Lightning speed like that could allow you to zoom around from place to place, not just to see the world in one hour but to save people along the way. Imagine it, you could be fast enough to rescue someone from a burning building or pull them out of a car that’s been in a horrible accident. That sounds like a hero to me.

Time Travel

Paging Doctor Who! Who hasn’t wished they could go back in time to prevent wars from happening or save someone they cared about? Just getting to visit the past or future would be a pretty cool experience, think about it. You could meet Albert Einstein or see what future you accomplishes 50 years from now.

Invisibility

As a Harry Potter fan through and through, I am very envious of the invisibility cloak that Harry Potter had. But think about it, if you could turn invisible at will, wouldn’t that just be incredible? You could sneak out of the house or hide at those dreadful work meetings.

Power Mimicry

Why limit yourself to one superpower when you could have the power to mimic any superpower out there whenever you wanted. You could essentially absorb or copy someone else’s power or skill. Think about it, you could be as strong as The Rock or swim like an Olympic champion like Michael Phelps or be an incredible singer like Adele. Sky’s the limit.

Superhuman Strength

The Incredible Hulk and Superman are just a few superheros who had superhuman strength and it would be cool to have such a skill. Think about it. You could lift cars, be a champion jar/bottle opener, be a MMA champ, and so on. Sounds like a pretty cool advantage as you’d never be the one to get hurt.

Healing

Now this would a gift to all of humanity, to all those poor souls who are suffering from terminal illness or even AIDs or Alzheimers. You could actually heal anyone with a simple touch. The world would no longer suffer or be plagued with incurable diseases. No child would ever have to die from a brain tumor. You could save everyone and prevent anyone else from ever getting sick again.

Superhuman Endurance

Ha! You would never get tired again doing mundane tasks over and over again. Marathons would be a piece of cake! You could stay up and create medicine to cure illnesses, you could travel the whole world without missing a beat, you could even clean the house in no time.

Breathe Underwater

It’s every Little Mermaids dream come true! You could breathe underwater and see the treasures that the ocean has to offer. You could save creatures that live underwater without worrying about needing oxygen. This would be a dream superpower for marine biologists, hands down. Plus, it would just be pretty cool to “swim with the fishes.” (We mean that in a good way not in the mob way!)

Night Vision

Uhh, no need for those really ugly and bulky night vision goggles anymore! You could easily avoid stubbing your toe or reading late into the night and not disturbing anyone with the light still on. You wouldn’t have to be afraid of the dark anymore which would be an amazing feat.

Omnilingualism

Don’t ask us to pronounce that, we’ll just let you know what it means, its the ability to understand any form of language. No more English to French (or any language) dictionary’s’ or translators needed – you could just speak to the other person and understand them without hesitation. Heck you can even have a full out conversation. Pretty cool.

Immortality

This one’s a little tricky but it would be pretty cool to be immortal. You could meet all future family generations to come, you could watch the world develop and grow. You could never again have to lose a loved one. Now that sounds pretty darn special.
