Happy New Year
The Persian New Year is called Nowruz and is celebrated each year in March. It is celebrated not only in Iran but in many other countries including Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and many more. In Iran, the holiday is a public holiday that is celebrated for 13 days!
Thank You For The Wine
According to a discovery made during excavations at Hajji Firuz Tepe (in the northwestern region of Iran) by the University of Pennsylvania, we can thank the Persians for the invention of wine. This wonderful contribution to society dates back to 5000 BCE.
