Despite what Jones said, police used tracking dogs to sniff out Paige’s car, immediately the dogs alerted to the scent of Lester Jones in the front seat. When police told Lester what the dogs found, he denied being anywhere with “this lady.” With there was a lot of evidence to suggest Jones was responsible for Paige’s disappearance, there was no definitive proof.
