Spiny Orb Weaver Spider
Sorry, to all our arachnophobic readers! Somehow, the spiny orb-weaver or Gasteracantha is even scarier than your average black creepy crawler. Oh, they’re also called spiny-backed orb-weavers, but that’s sort of obvious to anyone unfortunate enough to see one up close.

Dugong
Actually, the dugong is classified as a medium-sized marine mammal. Again, I think maybe medium would make sense after liposuction, but I’m no scientist. At least we know the sea floor gets vacuumed every now and then.
