Goran Višnjić (Luka Kovac)
He was mysterious, and he wasn’t like the others as he was a foreigner. Season 6 was the debut for Dr. Kovac, replacing our beloved Dr. Ross. Kovac’s PTSD and undying guilt for having survived the Croatian War, where he lost his wife and children, gave him a kind of sympathy no-one was expecting. He and Dr. Abby Lockhart would fall in love, right up until the end. Following his medical days at the ER, he went on to work on productions like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Counselor, Leverage, and Pan Am.

Who didn’t fall in love with Dr. Abby Lockhart?! She came into our lives in the 6th season, and lasted until the last. She and Dr. Kovac had a son together, as well as a special kind of love. In 2009 she was diagnosed with breast cancer but made a recovery. On the acting scene she’s noted with strong roles in The Whole Truth, The Office, The Good Wife, and The Affair.
