Ebola Outbreak
The first major outbreak of Ebola took place in 1976. A nurse by the name of Mayinga N’Seka poses for the camera at the start of the outbreak. It would only be a few days before she died from the deadly and contagious virus.
Rangoon Bombing
The Rangoon bombing of 1983 in Burma was orchestrated by three North Koreans, and they did so with the intention of killing then South Korean president, Chun Doo-hwan. The bomb killed 21 people, but not the president, and only because he was stuck in traffic.
