Is That A Mohawk?
This picture was taken in 1913 and depicts people in San Jose, California. While most fo the people in the photograph are dressed and styled in a way that seem appropriate for the time, the man in the center of the photo looks like a modern day punk rocker, mohawk included. While it’s more likely that he is just poorly dressed, he does look like he belongs to a totally different time period.

The photo of the right is said to be from 1870 and was taken in Bristol, Tennessee. While we don’t know who the man in the photograph is, he really looks a lot like Nicole Cage. The mystery man is certainly the Civil War doppelgänger of the Hollywood star.
Anachronistic Cell Phone
This old photograph that depicts a group of ladies walking together seems to show a woman speaking on a cell phone. However, it’s more likely that she’s brushing her hair out of her face and not chatting on an iPhone, as that would truly be an anachronism. It’s still funny to see how much it looks like she is speaking on a cell phone from the future.

Here’s is another shockingly similar resemblance. This man on the left is clearly from a totally different era, but he looks so similar to actor Johnny Depp that it is truly mind boggling. Something that helps with the similarities is the fact that Depp often enjoys dressing in a more old fashioned way.

It could appear that this is a photo of Marilyn Monroe with a woman taking a photo of her on an iPhone in the background. What’s more likely that the woman is holding something else entirely and it’s just a blurry photo.

Born in 1946, Mahir Çayan was the People’s Liberation Part Front leader in Turkey. He was also a Marxist-Leninist communist revolutionary. Çayan was killed in 1972 when he was 26 years old. With this mustache, he truly resembles comedian Jimmy Fallon.

Joseph Stalin was a Georgian revolutionary who ruled the Soviet Union from 1922 until 1953. On the left, a photo of a young Joseph Stalin which made the rounds on the internet, partially because he looks quite similar to Zayn Malik, former member of One Direction.

Ilya Ilych Mechnikov was a zoologist and immunologist who was awarded a joint Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine along with Paul Ehrlich. He was referred to as the “father of innate immunity.” You might notice that he looked a whole lot like Robin Williams. Williams played another famous scientist, neurologist Oliver Sacks, in the film Awakenings.
