Dawber and Harmon have always been adamant about keeping their personal lives private, and this is nothing new. They’ve made an effort to stay mum about their relationship for the majority of their marriage. In an interview from 1987 she said: “We’re not trying to keep something secret, but if you don’t want it totally exploited by the press, you have to.”
