In an interview, Harmon shared a story that probably explains why he and his wife want to stay clear of the spotlight. After he was asked if a fan has gotten “overzealous,” he responded: “My alarm went off, I went outside with a loaded gun. I listened to footprints come down the side of the house. I whipped around the corner with a gun pointed to this girl’s forehead. I’m standing there, naked in the moonlight. I sleep naked. Her reaction was, ‘You really do live here!’ I thought that was kind of strange. She left, but that’s beyond the line as far as I’m concerned.”

Unlucky In Love
In the same 1987 interview, Dawber admitted that before meeting Harmon, she was quite unlucky when it comes to relationships. She said she had “a bad love affair here and there” before finally meeting and falling in love with her husband. The pair first met in 1986 at a social event that was hosted by a mutual friend.
