The craziest part of Dawber and Harmon’s story is that it nearly almost did not happen at all! In fact, after having so many unsuccessful tries of relationships with actors, Dawber had decided she was swearing off of dating actors. However, luckily she decided to bend her rule and give Harmon a try. The rest is history!

Therefore it makes sense that when the two tied the knot back in 1987, they decided to have a very small wedding and only invited their closest friends and relatives.
