First Surviving Septuplets Where Are They 20 Years Later

A couple couldn’t have any children, and then a miracle happened and they had a daughter. But they would never have believed what would happen when they tried for a second child and received septuplets instead. The road to this unique birth was anything but easy. This is a story about faith, miracles, and what true love means even in the face of the most difficult times.

While we know that the advances of technology have brought about new medicine and new medical procedures, there are some things we still don’t have cures for. Cancer is one of the greatest killers we have in our world today, and even with all the advances in the medical field, a holistic cure still hasn’t been found. The same goes for HIV aids which kills huge numbers of people every year. But there is something that medical technology has really helped humanity with, and that’s childbirth.

Today pretty much anyone can have themselves a baby… well kind of; the procedures are all available. We have different drugs like Metrodin, and different procedures like artificial insemination. In fact for a woman who is going through chemotherapy, a procedure dangerous to her eggs, she can have her eggs frozen and stored for a time post chemotherapy. These are only a few examples of what can help a woman fall pregnant.
The McCaughey family had an experience like no other when it came to aided pregnancy, and their story continues to mystify and surprise the masses. They couldn’t have a baby and then they managed to have seven all at the same time. Bobbi and Kenny McCaughey were faced with challenges that came from all angles. Starting with the battle to have a baby, followed by pressure to abort the massive septuplets’ birth, to eventually facing scrutiny by the media and public about their life choices, they faced it all.

But their faith kept them above it all, and in the end they managed to raise a daughter and seven children who were all born together, and now they’re all making history. They are the first and oldest surviving septuplets in the world, and they’ve got one heck of a special story to tell.

This is a story that will make you smile and cry all at the same time.

Meet The Parents

Bobbi and Kenny McCaughey fell in love, got married and decided to start a family. The only problem was that Bobbi was born with a malfunctioning pituitary gland and as a result she suffered from fertility problems. In 1996 they were blessed with a baby girl, and they named her Mikayla Marie.
